The questions we are asked most often – about cost, privacy, paper sizes and the export.
- Is twicedocs free?
- Yes. The letterhead and business card editors can be used without signing up and at no cost, including PDF export. The only paid items are the finished template packs in the template shop.
- Where is my data stored?
- Nowhere outside your device. The documents are created and assembled entirely in the browser. Nothing is transmitted to a server, there is no user account and no tracking. Saved senders and addresses live in your browser's local storage and can be deleted at any time. Details are in the privacy statement.
- Which paper size should I choose?
- For Germany and Europe, DIN A4 with DIN 5008 is the right choice. US Letter (216 × 279 mm) is used in North America and is slightly wider and shorter than A4. The format comparison shows the differences in detail.
- Can I use the result at a print shop?
- Yes. The export produces a 300 dpi PDF. For commercial printing you can additionally output a 3 mm bleed on all sides, so the print shop can trim cleanly. For your own printer, the export without bleed is enough.
- Does twicedocs work offline?
- Yes, after the first visit. twicedocs is built as a Progressive Web App and can be installed to your home screen. After that the editors are available without an internet connection.
- Do I need to know DIN 5008 by heart?
- No. The editors place the address field, fold marks and punch mark at the positions the standard prescribes. If you want to follow the figures in detail, they are in the guide to DIN 5008.
